See “Kicking the Habit for Your Pet,” by Tara Parker-Pope, a New York Times blog writer, to learn about an interesting study conducted at Tufts College of Veterinary Medicine.

Here’s the nut graph:

Nearly one in three smokers said the health of a pet would motivate them to try to kick the habit.

Did you know that cats who live with smokers lick and ingest the carcinogenic compounds that settle on their fur? Click here to read Parker-Pope’s article and learn more about how smoking effects pets.

Feeling the truth

“Are you still carrying the anger?” My hypnotherapist asked me during an emotional session.

As I said the word, “No,” I felt warmth spread through my body along with a pleasant stillness, a sense of calm and peace. I had asked myself that same question many times, and while I thought the answer was “No,” that I had let go and moved on, I worried that on a subconscious level I was still angry. In a trance state, I could feel the truth in a visceral way.

Many of my clients have described similar experiences, so I know what I felt is not uncommon. Hypnosis is a wonderful tool for exploring feelings and gaining clarity.  I’d like to invite others to post a comment and share any similar experiences that they have had while in trance.
